Scion Nonprofit Staffinghas been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Director of Communications for our client, a wonderful nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering economic equity and empowering small businesses nationwide! This exciting role offers the chance to shape the organization’s communications strategy, amplify its mission, and engage with a diverse range of partners, investors, and entrepreneurs. This full-time, direct hire position is for immediate hire and offers a hybrid work arrangement in the San Francisco Bay Area!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the organization’s brand, ensuring consistent and authentic storytelling that aligns with its mission and builds community trust. Collaborate with external partners to refresh the brand and implement a cohesive style guide.
Lead the strategy and execution of web design and content updates, working across teams to enhance user experience and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Set and manage content creation protocols across the organization, overseeing various platforms, including social media, email marketing, and storytelling content.
Work with senior leadership to draft thought leadership pieces and manage media relations, lifting key messages through op-eds and other public-facing materials.
Design and implement outreach campaigns to support program objectives, community partnerships, and engagement with target audiences.
Develop and implement strategies to engage with key stakeholders, fostering relationships and gathering feedback to support organizational objectives and program development.
Lead the communications team, ensuring a collaborative environment while overseeing the development of team members and ensuring consistency in organizational messaging.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 8 years of experience managing marketing or communications initiatives, focusing on strategic planning and overseeing budgets.
Proven success in developing and executing digital marketing and content-driven campaigns to generate engagement.
Strong experience leading social media, email marketing, and thought leadership projects from inception to execution.
Leadership experience with a track record of building and nurturing high-performing teams in a collaborative environment/
Proficiency in using marketing tools and analytics platforms to measure and optimize campaign performance.
Thrives in a mission-driven setting with a passion for creating positive social impact.
A flexible, adaptable approach to working in dynamic, fast-moving environments focusing on continuous learning.
Bilingual proficiency a plus.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: This wonderful opportunity offers the ability to make a significant impact by leading communications strategy for an established organization committed to driving social change and empowering underserved communities.
