This full-time on-site opportunity comes with an annual salary range of $120,000-$165,000 DOE, a sign on bonus of $10,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.
The Role: Reporting to the Senior Administrator, this position oversees a team of approximately 100-110 staff members and serves about 40 neurodiverse students. It is ideal for someone seeking a vibrant and dynamic environment where unique learners receive personalized curriculum and support services to achieve academic and social success. Located on a beautiful, secure campus in Lancaster, CA, this position offers an opportunity to leverage your skills and experience to lead a dedicated teaching staff and collaborate with clinicians to develop and implement effective programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interview, hire, direct, evaluate, and supervise both certificated and classified staff, including Vice Principals, faculty, Counselors, and other personnel to achieve school objectives.
- Lead and participate in a structured program of classroom observations; document performance, recommend discipline, reassignment, or termination as needed.
- Enforce State and Federal Education codes, policies, and laws; manage school site discipline, intervention policies, and safety programs.
- Oversee school business operations, develop and manage site budgets, and ensure proper allocation of funds for instructional and non-instructional needs.
- Direct the evaluation and revision of curricular and instructional programs to meet student needs and IEP requirements.
- Analyze data and develop plans for instructional improvement based on program assessments.
- Maintain communication and collaborate with community and parent groups, law enforcement, and other officials as necessary.
- Prepare and distribute correspondence, bulletins, and other communications; coordinate public relations and publicity for school events and achievements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Administrative Credentials (PASC) and Education Specialist or CA Pupil Personnel Services Credentials (PPS).
- Master’s Degree with PPS Credential and administrative experience preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of administrative experience in a public school setting.
- Knowledge of the Individualized Education Program (IEP), Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and federal law related to special education.
- Experience as a Site Administrator in a unique, small school environment is highly desired.
- Must provide at least 3 Letters of Reference.
- Ability to pass a DOJ/FBI background check.
- Negative TB test result required within 60 days of hire.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
In addition to a competitive base salary of $120,000-$165,000 DOE plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus (5k upon start with the other half after six months), offers a competitive benefits package, including; medical, dental, and vision; retirement plan and (8) weeks of vacation per year.
