Scion Nonprofit has been immediately searching for a creative Event Programming Director for our fantastic client, a nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating the next generation of conservation and science professionals. Combining technology, science, storytelling, and immersive experiences, the organization aims to inspire and educate a global community committed to conservation on Earth. A prominent philanthropic organization supports our client’s initiative and collaborates with leading media, science, and philanthropy partners. 

This incredible full-time, hybrid opportunity is based in Singapore.

The Event Programming Director will lead outreach initiatives to engage diverse audiences. This leadership role involves strategic planning, program development, and community engagement. The Director will oversee events, conferences, and global activations, ensuring they align with the organization's mission of promoting conservation. This position requires strategic thinking and leadership to communicate the organization's vision and expand its impact. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a strategy for public programming and outreach. 
Program and Event Development:
  • Create and oversee educational programs and events such as conferences, workshops, and exhibits. 
Event Management:
  • Plan and execute public programs, collecting feedback to measure impact. 
Community Engagement:
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to co-create and expand public programs. 
Public Relations:
  • Manage media relations and social media to increase visibility. 
Collaboration:
  • Work across teams to integrate outreach efforts with other programs. 
Budget Management:
  • Manage the budget to ensure efficient resource use. 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in education, communications, environmental science, or a related field. 
  • 8+ years of experience in public outreach, community engagement, or nonprofit management. 
  • Highly skilled in event planning experience from small workshops to large-scale events. 
  • Possess a creative style, with experience in the curation of artistic themes and exciting new diversified content for events to reach new audiences.
  • Independent, proactive, and strategic thinker.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills. 
  • Ability to translate vision into actionable plans. 
  • Passion for environmental conservation and education, with flexibility for international travel. 
  • Resourceful, adaptable, and strong work ethic. 
  • Team-oriented with a high level of discretion.
