Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Nonprofit Program Specialist (Veteran Services) on behalf of our client, an established nonprofit organization driven to support the lifestyle needs of U.S. Veterans in Los Angeles, CA (90025)! This is a wonderful, full-time, on-site, direct-hire opportunity with a dedicated, mission-driven, and experienced team addressing the welfare of U.S. Veterans in the community!

The Nonprofit Program Specialist (Veteran Services) will lead day to day program operations for the organization’s residential services within the building from point of entry and throughout the residential life-cycle.

  • Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday Schedule!
  • Work Hours of 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee residential services and collaborate with the team for seamless support.
  • Organize and run programs, from intake to completion.
  • Facilitate a supportive community within the building.
  • Coordinate transportation and manage related tasks.
  • Address resident needs, including housing issues and daily living skills.
  • Perform resident wellness checks.
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure confidentiality.
  • Manage the event calendar as well as resources, and budgets for the events.
  • Assist with data collection and reporting.
  • Participate in meetings and trainings.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in the nonprofit programs space with a preference for candidates who have worked with vulnerable populations.
  • Conflict management skills training required.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of clients, staff, and community members.
  • Polished written and oral communications as well as time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to take direction while also working independently with minimal oversight.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • A passion for working at an organization that supports Veteran populations!

Compensation:
This exciting direct-hire opportunity 
offers a salary range of $55,000 - $70,000 annually as well as comprehensive benefits
