Scion Executive Search has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a dynamic HR Manager for one of Washington's largest nonprofit social services providers. This pivotal role entails leading a team supporting 200 employees in King County. The position offers a competitive salary range of $110,000–$120,000 per year DOE, along with comprehensive benefits, including a 403b and pension plan. This is a full-time onsite opportunity.

The Role: Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the HR Manager plays a pivotal role in upholding HR principles. This position is responsible for overseeing an agile and nimble HR team providing support and guidance for 200 employees in the King County region. Leading with integrity, credibility, and dedication to the organization’s mission, the HR Manager's contributions are crucial to our success.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively address workload challenges to create a workplace that recognizes the importance of staff retention and strengthens communication within and outside the department.
  • Evaluate current operational processes for efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring appropriate training for all staff.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Department, including onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and human resources development tasks.
  • Manage and monitor all employee benefits, including health insurance, 401 (K), and vacation and sick time administration.
  • Assist in recruitment by sourcing candidates and conducting background checks on potential hires.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations pertaining to employment laws and HR policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee files and records, either electronically or in physical format.
  • Act as lead, providing support to and mentoring program managers and staff on all HR-related matters.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple demands and deadlines with a willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of experience in a Human Resources leadership role.
  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of Federal, State, and local labor laws.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to navigate challenging conversations.
  • Excellent knowledge of HR principles and practices.
  • Excellent written, oral, and persuasive communication skills.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This rewarding full-time opportunity offers a competitive base salary of $110,000–$120,000, based on experience, and a robust benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, an FSA option, a commuter/parking subsidy, a 403b, and a pension plan.
