Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Operations Specialist for our client, a highly regarded non-profit organization in San Francisco, CA! This is a wonderful full-time, on-site, contract-to-hire opportunity to join an inspiring team!

What you’ll be doing:
-Accounts Payable: all day-to-day aspects of bill.com – managing the email queues, obtaining approvals from budget managers, researching instances where the payment was not received, and suggesting weekly payments.
-Accounts Receivable: Enter receivables into QuickBooks and prepare bank deposits with Development. Work with development to reconcile Salesforce and the accounting system.
-Payroll: Prepare payroll for processing – post changes to employee compensation and deductions, position, and department, making “jobs” available to employees’ timecards as needed. Learn how to use the payroll JE workbook to serve as backup to the Finance Director.
-Assist in recruitment and hiring processes including posting job announcements, screening candidates, and working with hiring managers to schedule interviews.
-Partner with the Operations and Technology Associate to support the onboarding and orientation of new staff members including setting up workstations, office tours, and coordinating sexual harassment training
-Provide logistical support for all meetings and events including ensuring security coverage, food, supplies, and tech support
-Manage office/kitchen supplies and equipment (copier, postage machine, printers, etc.)
-Provide phone/front desk/reception coverage and manage backup coverage
-Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot training room and Zoom room technology to support staff meetings, evening board meetings, and evening volunteer training.
What you need to be successful:
- 2+ years of relevant experience
-Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, logistics coordination, project management and business operations
