Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Junior Auditor for an established public accounting firm in Sacramento and the SF Bay Area. Our client is offering the opportunity to join their growing nonprofit audit practice team in providing exceptional accounting services to organizations throughout California! Our client’s firm has approximately 700 employees and serves a diverse clientele, including venture capitalists and nonprofits. This position is based in Sacramento with a very flexible hybrid schedule (2 days onsite/3 days remote).

The ideal Junior Auditor has an accounting/finance education, 1-2+ years of accounting experience, is CPA-eligible, ready to sit for the exams, and a desire to perform audits for various clients, supporting the audit manager and partner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute proactive solutions during client intakes and engagement planning meetings
  • Provide support in reviewing, planning, and compiling financial audits
  • Perform a thorough analysis of auditing projects and client financials, ensuring compliance with company best practices
  • Collaborate in audit planning procedures, identifying and mitigating audit risks
  • Serve as a resource to clients and customers of basic accounting and auditing practices


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or relevant field
  • Eligible for CPA licensure with 150 credits completed (not just eligible to sit for the exam); current valid CPA license preferred. 3.0+ GPA to verify.
  • 1-2+ years of auditing experience, public accounting experience preferred
  • Eager to learn more about auditing and accounting best practices
  • Nonprofit accounting experience a plus


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
