Scion Staffing, Inc., a full-service national staffing firm, has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a Direct Hire Clinical Toxicology Supervisor specializing in LCMS on behalf of our client, a state of the art laboratory specializing in drug and other clinical chemical testing. This is a full-time Direct Hire opportunity onsite with my client in Valley View, OH!


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Independently operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the LC-MS/MS system in a clinical toxicology environment.
• Strictly adhere to and promote rigorous biosafety standards when handling human urine and blood samples.
• Conducting LCMS method development and validation.
• Manage LC-MS/MS data review and release.
• Monitor and evaluate QC results.
• Enter and report patient results within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Ensure compliance with laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and implementing process optimization in the lab.
• Supervise LC-MS/MS data analysis, primarily focusing on the quantitative determination of prescription or illicit drugs in patient samples.
• Supervise team of other clinical toxicologists.

REQUIREMENTS

• PhD and 1+ year experience, MS and 2+ years’ experience, and BS with 4+ years’ experience, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related field.
• Advanced degrees are preferred, and ASCP certification in medical technology is a plus.
• Proven supervisory experience in a high-throughput, fast-paced laboratory setting.
• Proficiency in diverse laboratory techniques, including analytical standards preparation, enzyme hydrolysis, solid phase extraction, and protein precipitation methodologies.
• Competence in various high-pressure liquid chromatography techniques and separation methodologies.
• Ability to interpret complex data and utilize clinical laboratory software for quantification and results reporting.
• Experience in automation and liquid handling is preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail, especially in experiment setup, execution, documentation, and record-keeping in alignment with laboratory protocols.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
In addition to the opportunity to drive pivotal operations within an impactful organization alongside a brilliant and thriving team, the salary range offered is between $80,000-$120,000 annually.
