Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Insurance Billing Representative for immediate hire for our client, a comprehensive healthcare facility offering advanced medical services and compassionate care for its patients. This is a Full-Time, Six-Month Contract opportunity working onsite in Fremont, CA.

As the Insurance Billing Representative, you will work in close partnership with the Patient Financial Services team and stakeholders throughout the revenue cycle process to pinpoint and examine the underlying reasons behind user and system problems linked to eligibility verification, customer service, and claims rejection.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Open, process, sort and distribute inbound billing group communications from patients and payers
  • Work on denied claims and outstanding claims billed to payors
  • Verify accuracy of insurance payments received and posted to the billing system in relation to support cases
  • Analyze data to identify, diagnose, and resolve billing issues expeditiously
  • Review necessary information in billing system in order to respond to patient questions
  • Research accounts in the billing system as necessary to answer patient questions
  • Refer complex accounts to management for further action
  • Strict adherence to regulatory, operational, and legal compliance protocols
  • Utilize knowledge of medical coding (including CPT4, ICD-10) with EMR experience
  • Identify trends and issues through denials and underpayment reviews

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3+ year of Healthcare Revenue Cycle experience
  • Associate’s Degree in a related field
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Proficiency with Epic or similar
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills with a high level of professionalism
