Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Project Accountant for our client, a national company that specializes in climate solutions processes through equipment. This is an exciting Full-Time, Direct-Hire opportunity located onsite at Auburn, WA!

As the Project Accountant, you will report to the Accounting Manager and your main duty will be executing projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create project accounts in the accounting system
  • Invoice and manage collections for 200-250 projects per month 
  • Run weekly project review calls with sales and operations team 
  • Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders
  • Review and approve supplier invoices and time sheets related to projects
  • Review overhead charges to be applied to a project
  • Review account totals related to project assets and expenses
  • Create and gain approval for all project-related billings to customers
  • Ensure monthly and yearly invoicing targets are reached based on forecast targets
  • Assist in monthly forecasting within assigned region(s)
  • Follow up with customers and ensure timely collection of open invoices
  • Respond to requests for more detail from customers
  • Confer with Contracts and Credit Manager regarding unpaid contract billings
  • Report any past due customer accounts receivable to management
  • Identify and gain approval for the write-off of any uncollectable accounts
  • Receive re-rent POs upon approval of invoices that include re-rent items
  • Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management
  • Report on project profitability to management
  • Report to management on any opportunities for additional billings
  • Investigate all project expenses not billed to customers
  • Close out project accounts upon project completion
  • Assist with Sales Tax reporting and information at month end
  • Assist with Auditor requests at year end
  • Update various Excel spreadsheets with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance / Business Administration
  • 2-3 years of Project Accounting experience
  • Excellent invoicing and collections experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • NetSuite CRM experience is a plus!

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
