Scion Staffing, Inc. (www.scionstaffing.com), a full-service national staffing firm, has been engaged to conduct a search for a Temporary Executive Assistant for our amazing, faith-based client located about 20 minutes south of Denver, CO! Our client is a Christian church well known for its openness to all and its focus on social, economic and other forms of justice.

Our client is seeking a candidate with at least 2 years' experience providing direct support to one or more executive leaders as an executive or administrative assistant.

This position will provide efficient and responsive support in a variety of ways to the Pastor/Reverend of the church, including help with event planning and production, composing written documents, assisting with email promotion and communication and web site content management (WordPress), basic bookkeeping and other administrative tasks, as needed. 

Position responsibilities:

  • Handle mass mailings, from the design to printing and stuffing envelopes or emailing out via MailChimp (physical and digital)
  • Work with church leaders and members across five states to get content that is relevant and updated for newsletters and other communications.
  • Update content on the back-end of the website.
  • Coordinate/help manage relevant Board correspondence, coordinating Board meetings and handling meeting materials like packets, minutes, etc.
  • Other support/administrative tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate for this position will be outgoing and passionate about kind, friendly customer service. This person must also be organized, able to take direction and pivot priorities to ensure fantastic support is provided.

What you need:

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience as an Administrative or Executive Assistant directly supporting an executive leader.
  • An understanding of the work of the executive director, chief executive officer, or senior minister in churches or other religious organizations, and an ability to manage the related tasks using initiative, experience, judgment, and administrative skill.
  • String skill and experience in event planning and production, email promotion and communication and web site content management (WordPress experience preferred, HTML experience a plus).
  • A basic understanding of accounting and bookkeeping for non-profit organizations.
  • Fantastic editing and proofreading skills that include high-level knowledge of grammar and punctuation.
  • Tech savvy! Excellent computer skills along with experience with Dropbox, MailChimp, Excel and Word. Ability to set up technology for meetings.
  • Ability to represent the Pastor/Reverend and the organization in a positive manner in all engagements, whether in-person or in-writing, etc.

Perks and Details:

  • Competitive hourly pay: $20-$22/hour!
  • Temporary position for anywhere from a few weeks to a few months!
  • Full-time: M-F, 9am-5pm
  • In office role (there are only two individuals in the office at this time with no foot traffic), masks and PPE on site.
  • Location: near Centennial, CO
