Scion Nonprofit Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) has been engaged to conduct a search for a remote Nonprofit Marketing Assistant for immediate hire for our client, a construction trade company located in Long Beach, CA.

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the CEO, you will be a responsible self-directed team player that possesses strong writing skills, branding, and design talents, is comfortable with web and technology, can prioritize and handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, and has solid interpersonal skills.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and affiliates in the industry, including architects, developers, and general contractors to ascertain information on possible partnerships, opportunities, and project requirements to increase awareness and influence of member contractors
• Presentation of in-person lunch and learn course presentations delivered directly to the decision-makers and influencers
• Help organize and implement additional marketing events
• Help sustain rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities
• Participate in industry associations and organizations to further networking and business opportunities
• Provide support and assistance in planning, developing, producing, and delivering marketing and communications materials
• Develop and oversee the communications calendar to ensure timely execution of the program
• Use contact management system and other social media to create and send emails, e-newsletters, etc.
• Create designs and manage the website, keeping everything up-to-date
• Social media management
• Be responsible for ensuring accuracy in information and proofreading
• Conduct research, make site visits, and find resources to help make decisions about event possibilities
• Coordinate onsite arrangements for all meetings and events, including negotiating space contracts, arrange food and beverage, order supplies and audiovisual equipment, ensure appropriate décor
• Prepare meeting materials

What You Have to Offer:

• 1-2 years of marketing experience
• 1-2 years of event support/planning experience
• Marketing Degree preferred; recent grads encouraged to apply!
• 1-2 years of Canva experience

Compensation & Additional Details:

• Remote role, but you must be local to Long Beach CA
• Schedule: M-F 8am-430pm
• Pay rate range: $24-$28
• Temp to hire opportunity
