Scion Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) is currently hiring for multiple Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) with an established skilled nursing facility in Shelby, OH. Job Duties:

• Responsible for medication administration for the Assisted Living residents in compliance with Federal & State regulations
• May be responsible for the admissions of new residents to include all admission assessments and documentation
• Responsible for completing acute and long-term care plans
• May be responsible for clinical system tracking eg. Wounds or infection control under the direction of assigned Registered Nurse
• Provides general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community
• Notifies physicians and/or family members of any change in resident's health and provides proper documentation
• Responds quickly to all emergencies
• Maintains close communication with all departments and staff
• Maintain confidentiality of residents' and prospective residents' information
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of the skilled nursing facility

Job Requirements

• Current Ohio License as a Licensed Practical Nurse required
• Minimum of 2+ years of clinical experience as a professional nurse in an acute setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred and desire to serve and care for seniors
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and Point Click Software (preferred)
• Self- Motivated, independent, organized, able to prioritize work and be flexible when troubleshooting

Compensation:

This is a full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity offering a competitive pay rate of $28.00+ / hour (DOE).
