Scion Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) has been engaged to conduct a high-priority search for our client, an innovative biotech organization located in Santa Monica. Our client’s mission is to enhance patients’ lives through whole genome sequencing and medical innovations to drive advancing therapies. We are in search of a full-time CLS Certified Lab Technician to work in their traveling mobile laboratory. Overview
The Certified Laboratory Technician will be working closely with the Laboratory Director to implement testing and data analyzation to further their biotech research. The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for following SOPs within the laboratory to receive samples, conduct testing and analyze data.


What You'll Do

• Implement and optimize laboratory SOPs
• Receive, label and analyze samples (blood, tissue etc.)
• Design and execute laboratory testing and experiments
• Record and analyze data
• Conduct lab revalidation runs when locations change
• Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies
• Assist Lab Director in designing experiment processes

About You

• You hold a CLS certification
• You have experience handling potentially dangerous substances (flammable liquids, infectious bacteria, biohazards etc.).
• You are experienced in the life sciences or medical technology/biotech industries
• You are extremely passionate about advancing medical therapies
• You are extremely organized and thorough in data documentation and conducting SOPs
• You have the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• You are a motivated self-starter ready to hit the ground running!
