Scion Staffing is seeking a new Senior Director of Staffing & Recruitment to join our dynamic team to work in and grow our expanding contract and permanent search divisions. This position is located in Denver, Colorado and/or will work remote from a city and or location within the Mountain Region. If you are a professionally driven individual who has a passion for growing business, recruiting, and working collaboratively with an amazing team in a fast-paced team environment, then this is the place for you! Thus, this position will start 100% remote, and will later work more in office in our region as needed to be most successful.

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Director of Staffing & Recruitment for the U.S. Mountain Region is primarily responsible for the growth and success of the firm’s temporary workforce and direct hire business in the Mountain Region.  While Scion has a presence in the Denver area, it is our aim to grow the firm both in the region and nationally. S/he/they will be leading, building  and further expanding the mountain team that will expand our business and lead recruiting, sourcing, interviewing, and referring applicants for administrative, finance, HR, marketing, operations, legal, fundraising, programs, services, management and other professional positions for Scion Staffing clientele both nonprofit and corporate.  S/he/they will also help lead the strategic expansion in the Mountain Region by driving an impactful recruitment team and strategically working closely with our National Director of Partnerships to drive success in the region and ongoing annual expansion. 

 

In addition to leading the growth of business and impact in the area this integral role will help Scion expand via strategic office expansion, staff hiring, and be a motivational team leader for the Scion staff in the region. The right candidate should be passionate about directly working hands on and growing our staffing services in the region plus being enthusiastic about leading socially conscious business practices. This position will not be leading the recruiting /team for Technical, IT, and Engineer recruiting. These positions are lead by our Technical Division.  Also, the Scion Partnerships Team in the U.S. Mountain Region reports to our National Director of Partnerships.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

 

Regional Leadership, Candidate Recruitment, Retention and Placement Oversight

  • Help build a book of business in the area and provide exceptional customer service to Scion clients
  • Hire, motivate, and drive the success of recruiters in the Mountain region
  • Help manage the sourcing, interviewing, and placing of exceptional talent at local corporations and nonprofits!
  • Implement and execute recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates for the region
  • Spend time recruiting, placing, and cultivating accounts and growing a team as the business grows
  • Set goals for your region and drive success as the location grows. While this is a new position and office for Scion, we have clients in the area now we are successfully staffing
  • Ensure the Mountain Region:
    • Grows and services Scion Staffing clients successfully
    • Continues to be known as a reliable, conscientious, and highly effective company
    • Creates and promotes a positive, hate free, and inclusive working environment where all staff can thrive and grow
    • Is profitable and services clients in the region with exceptional quality and results
    • Grows its business, impact, and is strategically set up for success long term
    • Sets annual goals for the regions growth and implements staff, teams, and strategizes to successfully meet all targets
    • Follows DEI best practices and promotes ethics, heart, and continual passion for the mission of Scion
    • Effectively recruits and fills all possible orders and makes strong and successful client engagements

 

Strategic Leadership

  • Participate part of the Scion Executive team and representing the Mountain Region
  • Work as a hands-on servant leader that is a motivational team leader
  • Help build the Scion Staffing brand and ensure successful operations
  • Help counsel and work part of the Scion Executive team in the overall national growth strategy
  • Help to build a company and brand that is a leader in the industry and known for quality, socially conscious business practices driven by exceptional recruiting and customer service
  • Participate in our annual Scion Executive team retreat and strategic planning
  • Help guide and support the growth and success of Scion Staffing the Mountain region via wise financial planning, hiring execution, and strategic team leadership
  • Help grow an amazing company via an inclusive, transparent team approach

Client Relationship Development

  • Work with the National Director of Partnerships to help strategically drive success in the region and build client relationships
  • Become a true partner to the National Director of Partnerships as we grow while leading the team’s recruiting function for the region and offices 
  • Build strong relationships with current, new and/or prospects to further grow the Scion book of business as needed
  • Via nondirected oversight support the Partnerships team and help provide guidance to best support the region’s growth and expansion via thoughtful teamwork and leadership
  • Help develop and grow a client base by promoting our services, expertise, and core values for temporary, contract, interim, and/or direct hire staffing solutions when and where possible
  • Participate in or oversee Scion’s engagement at trade associations and networking events to increase the firm’s presence in the regional business community
  • Conduct client intakes to assess viability of prospective job opportunities. Conduct thorough research on job requirements and qualifications, as well as work environment, organization culture, and creditworthiness
  • Participate in educational opportunities, workshops, and seminars to increase knowledge on current industry and hiring trends as well as employment law

 

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIRMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • At least eight proven years of executive management experience in staffing and/or recruiting industry
  • Proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment leading high performing teams and creating exceptionally positive working environments
  • Ethics, kindness, and passion for helping others and seeing others succeed
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong intuition for culture fit while evaluating candidates
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required. Prior experience working with Outlook Web App (OWA) is preferred
  • Experience working with previous Applicant Tracking Systems, job boards and online networking resources. Experience working with Bullhorn ATS is a PLUS
  • In-depth knowledge or passion for learning current recruiting practices; prior exposure to human resources responsibilities including employment law, compensation structures, and benefits
  • Strong desire to succeed; self-motivated and eager to take on new challenges
