Network Architect (Contract-to-Hire)

Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for a Network Architect to join a growing technology company. This is a contract-to-hire position offering the opportunity to work remotely, with the requirement to work EST hours. The role will involve designing and managing advanced network infrastructure using Meraki's cloud-based solutions, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure networks.

Position Overview:
The Network Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure, with a focus on Cisco Meraki solutions, including access points, switches, firewalls, and SD-WAN technology. This position requires strong expertise in network architecture, security protocols, and wireless technologies, as well as hands-on experience with Meraki’s Dashboard for centralized management and monitoring.

What you will be doing:

• Design, configure, and deploy Meraki network solutions across wireless, switching, security, and SD-WAN environments.
• Optimize network performance, manage configurations, and troubleshoot issues using the Meraki Dashboard.
• Implement robust network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation.
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to align network infrastructure with business and compliance requirements.
• Document network architectures, configurations, and processes for scalability and resilience.
• Ensure network solutions meet performance, scalability, and security standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in network architecture, specifically with Cisco Meraki solutions.
• Relevant certifications such as Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, or CWNA are strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-managed network environments, security protocols, and wireless network principles.
• Experience with Meraki Dashboard for managing and troubleshooting networks.
• Prior experience in the Managed Service Provider (MSP) industry is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with IT and cybersecurity teams.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly pay rate starting at $35 per hour.
• Opportunity for conversion to a permanent role after 3-6 months, depending on business needs.
• Remote position with the expectation of working EST hours.
• Equipment will be provided for the role.

Location:
This is a remote position, but candidates must be available to work EST hours. Occasional travel may be required based on business needs.
