Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Pricing Manager for our client, a wonderful consumer goods organization in Carson, CA! In this role, you will be the owner of the global Pricing program responsible for the development and management of retail price strategy and recommendations by leveraging the organization’s price optimization engine. The ideal candidate will have exceptional data analytics expertise (particularly SQL data mining) with pricing data in a retail environment coupled with strong leadership experience.

- Compensation range is $135k-$180k, depending on experience.
What you will be doing:
- Building a high-performing and scalable organization and developing a new global analytical program.
- Analyzing rule effectiveness, quantifying pricing consumer behaviors, and optimizing zone and channel pricing using data mining skills with SQL, R, or Python.
- Educating stakeholders in understanding applied pricing methodologies, store, and category pricing strategic roles.
- Managing third-party pricing vendor relations.
- Building scalable and actionable reporting leveraging visualization tools, e.g. Power BI that synthesizes and provides timely and effective learnings to the organization’s business partners.
What you will need:
- 3+ years of experience managing a team.
- Demonstrated experience in business or merchandising analytics, business intelligence, or comparable research role.
- Expertise in data mining and reporting, particularly with SQL and relational databases.
- Ability to travel 15% of the time.
- 3+years of technical pricing analysis experience in a retail/sales environment
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools (such as PowerBI) is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science/Engineering preferred
