OVERVIEW:
The HR Generalist, reporting to the Human Resources Director, will be instrumental in talent acquisition efforts along with daily HR operations. We are looking for a talented, motivated, and enthusiastic HR Generalist to bring a background in HR best practices and a passion for innovation. They will need to be comfortable in fast-paced environments and thrive on collaboration, problem-solving and identifying opportunities to implement creative solutions.
 
The HR Generalist should be experienced in a number of functions supporting all aspects of employment lifecycle, from Recruiting and Talent Acquisition through to onboarding, performance management to end of employment activities.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment and selection process
  • Creatively recruit and source talent—using internal and external networks
  • Continuously build and maintain a talent pipeline to support organizational growth
  • Facilitate best in class staff onboarding and all new hire activities to ensure a seamless transition for new hires onto the team
  • Assist HR Director with benefits related activities such as open enrollment and assisting staff with benefits related issues
  • Leverage internal HR systems for maintaining, auditing, and updating employee information
  • Provide consultation and interpretation on policies to staff and managers
  • Remain current with HR best practices and changes to federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Assist with the performance assessment and talent management process
  • Build positive relationships with managers and staff and serve as a resource and support re. HR questions and needs
  • Proactively track relevant data and information to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
  • Experience in full cycle recruiting and performance management process highly desired
  • Ability to identify opportunities and develop thoughtful improvements
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills that lead to dynamic relationship building and collaboration
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time
  • Experience using a project management system such as Asana or others
  • Well-developed understanding of HR concepts and best practices and can apply them with minimal supervision while knowing when to escalate to the HR Director for additional guidance
  • Experience handling employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees and managers escalating complex matters to a supervisor or appropriate resource
  • Experience implementing an HR system or HR system transitions is a plus
  • Experience in a non-profit organization is a plus
  • Experience in a small HR team is a plus
  • Undergraduate degree highly preferred  

COMPENSATION
This position offers pay of $36 - $38/hr. DOE, as well as health, dental, vision and other benefits while on assignment! This position works on an amazing team and makes an incredible impact in the community!
